Background: Born Lang Sheng Tiandao, no known parents, he was taken in and raised by the Swordsman of the Shang Mo school, in Jing Province, on a continent across the sea from the Elemental Nations. He was raised and trained to uphold the principles of the school and their system of beliefs in having a spiritual balance.

But he grew up in a turbulent time. A civil war was tearing the Xun dynasty asunder. The Emperor of the Xun Dynasty made a difficult choice, to send his treasury and young son across the sea, and to protect both would be a collective of the One Hundred and Eight most skilled warriors in the continent. Not aware that another heir to the Dynasty was among these warriors. Lang Sheng was actually his grandson but that, is a story for another day.

Upon arrival in the Elemental Countries they found that this land too was torn by war. The First Great Ninja war was in effect. And complicating matters even more Wu Zhi, who would later be known as Madaragumo started a schism that divided the protectors of the young prince in two. Soon the factions were further made as eight factions became more prominent, while a ninth opted to be impartial naming themselves as the Byakkuren, the White Lotus.

The young prince was under constant protection of Lang Sheng and his followers as they didn't trust any of the others. The treasury on the other hand, was split amongst the factions, relics, sacred weapons, and the scrolls of the Sacred Beasts were taken by each group.

The groups became more involved in the Shinobi War, and started gaining understandings of their arts. Which lead to a clash between Shang Mo and Senjuu. Hashirama and Lang Sheng would fight and due to one lucky strike, Ginatao's face was marked for ever, as the scar quickly turned silver as his kekkei genkai the Kouton awoke. Having earned the respect of Hashirama, for having fought with a sense of honor he hadn't ever seen he wished to know his name.

To which Lang Sheng responded...

"I was once called Lang Sheng Tiandao...but that was another guy...you can call me Jinketsu...Ginato, seeing as I have a silver scar now."

From that day there was an unspoken allegiance between the Ginato and Hashirama. Which proved to be necessary as they fought with the Uchiha and their new allies Satsujin Madaragumo and their followers.

Eventually he would found Yamagakure by creating the five legendary mountain peaks. And through negotiations and the urging of a young child who would one day be known as Taifuu Garyuu, the Hakke Rengou would be formed. And years later his flame was extinguished as if by fate he and Madaragumo killed each other in one last battle.
